| Notes | Perhaps some process has /media/cdrecorder (on some subdirectory) as its current directory. By design, when a new disk is mounted into the Unix filesystem heirarchy, the directory that was previouly there -- /media/cdrecorder in this case -- temporarily "disappears". But the mount command cannot make the existing directory "disappear" while someone is using it. Therefore the CD you inserted cannot be automatically mounted and displayed. |
